The old model lacked a bit of power. The head of classic size 100 sq in. or 645 cm² offers a sufficiently large sweet spot (ideal point of contact) and an excellent balance between power and precision. They changed the string pattern, which is now denser in the center and slightly wider at the sides, giving the player excellent control, necessary power, and good spin potential.

The 16x19 string pattern allows for a lot of spin. A special string layout has been used, patented by Rene Lacoste, with higher density in the middle and a looser arrangement at the rim of the racket.
